Always taking a personal approach in all we do, we work directly with our donors and partners to determine how to best achieve their charitable goals while supporting the causes they believe in most.

As the President and Chief Executive Officer, Sarah O. Hanley brings her broad-based experience and innovative ideas to The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia. With more than 25 years of business development and leadership experience, Sarah is responsible for the growth and strategic oversight of CFGP and leading a team of dedicated staff who support the Foundation’s development.
Sarah has been with CFGP since its founding in 2013. In her previous roles with CFGP, Sarah was responsible for the annual Catholic Charities Appeal and St. Charles Borromeo Seminary Appeal that collectively raise nearly $20M annually. She also led CFGP’s Mission Advancement Services team, which continues to help grow the fundraising and development efforts of many Catholic institutions across Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Sarah’s commitment to the mission of CFGP stems from her lifelong dedication to her faith and her hometown. A native Philadelphian, Sarah now gives back to her community and her faith in ways she could have only hoped for. Today, Sarah lives in Drexel Hill with her husband and their two sons. She is an active member of St. Kevin Parish in Springfield, where she is the Founding Chair of their Stewardship Council and is President of their Women’s Club Board of Directors.
Sarah is a member of the Executive Board of Elementary Education for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the Advisory Board for Villa Maria Academy, Lower School. She also participates in the mentoring program for the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Greater Philadelphia Chapter. In addition, Sarah is a former board member of the National Catholic Development Conference.
Prior to her time with CFGP, Sarah worked in the Office for Stewardship and Development at the Archdiocese of Philadelphia as their Director of Appeals. Before transitioning into the nonprofit sector, she had a highly successful career in business development and sales leadership, working for AmeriGas Propane and National Car Rental. Sarah is a proud graduate of Drexel University, holding a BS in Marketing and Management.

Connor joined the Foundation in May 2019 and works on the MAS team as the Senior Project Coordinator for the St. Charles Borromeo Seminary Appeal. Connor first found his passion for nonprofit work in the year of 2015, during his year of service through the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in Scranton, PA. Since then, Connor worked in various nonprofit development and project coordination roles, including starting up the NJ Hearing Foundation.
Connor is a South Jersey native and an avid Philly sports fan. He attended Loyola University Maryland, where he attained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Emerging Media. In his free time, Connor enjoys music, traveling, playing Dungeons and Dragons, and spending time with family and friends.

Kristen is a Senior Project Coordinator working collaboratively on fundraising development, communications, and other mission advancement services with many clients, including Catholic Social Services and Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament. She joined the CFGP team in November 2019.
After graduating with a Bachelors in Human Services from University of Delaware in 2018, Kristen spent a year volunteering at the New York City Department of Education with AmeriCorps. She is interested in all types of human development and youth services and has loved working toward these interests at CFGP.
Originally from New York, Kristen is a passionate Yankees fan, but has adopted the non-baseball Philly sports teams since moving to Philadelphia in January 2020.

Gina is responsible for all communication and marketing efforts for CFGP, including our largest partners, the Catholic Charities Appeal of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and St. Charles Borromeo Seminary Appeal. She oversees all marketing strategies, marketing communications, event planning, and digital marketing efforts.
Gina has been with the Foundation since its founding in 2013. Prior to joining CFGP, Gina worked at the Archdiocese of Philadelphia in the Office for Stewardship and Development and at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals. She has over 16 years of experience in all facets of marketing and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Temple University in Marketing and Business Administration. Gina lives in Cherry Hill, NJ with her husband, Chris, and son, Christopher.

Tom joined the CFGP team in August 2020 as a Project Manager/Gift Officer. Originally from Allentown, Tom attended the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, and graduated in 2017 with a bachelor’s in Marketing and a minor in International Business. Before joining the team, he worked for a speakers bureau where he supported bookings for keynote speakers.
Having always been fond of Philadelphia, Tom is excited to be on a team where he can support the city’s well-being and the missions of its Catholic organizations.
When he is not in the office, Tom enjoys outdoor activities, mastering a new recipe, looking for a new action/drama series on Netflix, or cheering for his beloved Eagles and Phillies.

Justine Dougherty is the Manager, Partner Development providing fundraising consulting services and working collaboratively with some of CFGP’s key development clients. In addition, she manages some smaller projects along with other members of the Mission Advancement Services (MAS) team. Justine joined The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia in 2018 after moving back to Philadelphia.
Prior to joining CFGP, Justine lived and worked in Washington, DC, in business development at a national news media company. She developed an interest in nonprofit fundraising and management after working in partnership with various nonprofits and volunteering for several years. She is happy she has found a home at CFGP. In her spare time, Justine enjoys live music and hanging out with all the dogs in her life.

Courtney joined CFGP in November 2020 as a Project Coordinator for the Moving Forward: Parish Stewardship Renewal initiative. She is excited to submerse herself into the nonprofit world to continue her personal mission of boosting the quality of life for the Philadelphia community.
Before joining the team, Courtney worked for the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia, planning programs and events that focused on innovation, growth, and opportunity taking place in the region.
Courtney is a recent Temple University graduate, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management. In her spare time, she enjoys drawing, cooking new recipes, and exploring the city with her dog, Lilly.

Emily has been with the Foundation since 2014 and currently oversees CFGP’s many fundraising and development consulting clients. Emily’s love of the nonprofit sector started in college when she served on the Executive Council of Indiana University Dance Marathon. She quickly changed her major from Biology to Nonprofit Management, and hasn’t looked back since! Emily is a proud graduate of Indiana University (Bloomington, IN), and a native of Indianapolis.
Emily loves spending her days helping nonprofits of all sizes overcome their unique challenges and raise the funds they need to fulfill their mission. She is proud to have helped raise nearly $40 million for clients since joining the MAS team.

Beverly comes to CFGP as a financial professional with over 20 years of experience in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors. Early in her career, she worked primarily as a Financial Analyst at various financial service companies including JP Morgan, Vanguard, and RBC Dain Rauscher. Her work in the nonprofit sector began at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School where she served as the school’s Director of Finance. In that role, she was responsible for the fiscal and operational aspects of the school. Most recently, Beverly was Controller at Abington Friends School where she oversaw all daily accounting operations.
Beverly holds a BA in Economics from Rutgers University and an MBA from Villanova University. Originally from New Jersey, she currently lives in North Wales, PA with her husband and two sons. She is a member of Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Parish in North Wales.

Deacon Jack joined CFGP in April 2018. Prior to joining CFGP he had an extensive career in marketing, sales and company management in the international, industrial chemical industry. He holds a B.S. in Organizational Management from Eastern University, a Diploma in Metallurgy from Spring Garden College and Executive Management Certificate for Columbia University School of Business.
Deacon Jack was ordained a Permanent Deacon for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia by Bishop Daniel Thomas in June 2012 and is assigned to St. Eleanor Parish in Collegeville. He earned a Certificate in Catholic Bioethics from Catholic Distance University in 2015.
Deacon Jack enjoys time traveling with his wife of 31 years and family time with his two adult sons.

Valerie joined the CFGP team in September 2021 as a Project Coordinator. After graduating from Loyola University of Maryland for Global Studies, she enrolled in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in Brooklyn, NY. There she served as an immigration counselor at Catholic Migration Services. Valerie then went on to earn her Master’s degree at NYU for Global Affairs. In her spare time, Valerie enjoys art, theater, and walking around the city.

Amelia joined the CFGP team in August 2020 as a Project Manager/Gift Officer. She is excited to be at CFGP and learn more about the non-profit world. Amelia's father has worked in fundraising and development for almost 30 years and was her inspiration and role model to pursue a career in the same sector.
Originally from Lebanon, PA, Amelia is a recent grad from Saint Joseph's University where she received her degree in Communications. She lives in Philadelphia and loves exploring the city, but loves to get to the beach whenever she can.

Russell has been with the Foundation since its inception in 2013, and currently manages the Data Department, which processes data for the Catholic Charities Appeal, the St. Charles Borromeo Seminary Appeal, and other Mission Advancement Services clients.
In his spare time, Russell enjoys reading, football, listening to an eclectic mix of music, and spending time with his wife and daughter as often as possible. Russell is also very involved with his church, having just finished up his term on its Board of Directors.

Kaitlin joined CFGP in 2014 and is the Assistant Manager of the Data Department. She assists Russell in keeping the Data Department organized and running smoothly and efficiently.
Kaitlin lives in Philadelphia with her black cat, Neo.

Bill joined CFGP in July 2021 and works as a Senior Project Coordinator assisting with the Catholic Charities Appeal of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and other key clients of CFGP.
Before coming to CFGP, Bill worked as an editor and communications coordinator at The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE), a nonprofit devoted to promoting and defending free speech rights and due process in higher education. Bill also worked and lived in D.C. while working as an intern for the Tax Foundation, a tax policy nonprofit.
A Delco native, Bill earned his bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Temple University. On weekends, he can usually be found at one of Philly’s concert venues or biking around town.

Mary Jo (MJ) joined CFGP in January 2021 and comes to us from The Cathedral School of St. John the Divine in NYC, where she served as the Special Events and Community Relations Coordinator. Before moving to New York in 2018, she lived in Philly for two years and has been itching to come back ever since! MJ grew up in Maryland and went to Loyola in Baltimore, and is very excited to be closer to home and back in such a wonderful city with her cat, David.
As someone who has always sought out working with mission-driven and impactful organizations, MJ is thrilled to serve as the Relationship Manager here at CFGP. She is looking forward to using some of the skills she has gained throughout her career so far, such as, most recently, building relationships with alumni and parents at The Cathedral School.

Kelsea is the Project Manager working collaboratively with some of CFGP’s key development clients. She also assists with the Catholic Charities Appeal of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. She joined The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia in 2018.
Prior to joining CFGP, Kelsea worked at a boutique Philadelphia-based Public Relations firm working on projects ranging from The Philadelphia Veterans parade to assisting in numerous restaurant openings. She grew up volunteering within her community and developed a passion for community outreach, leading her to the CFGP.
Kelsea earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. An avid sports fan, Kelsea has held past internships with the Syracuse Crunch Hockey Team and with the Houston Super Bowl in 2017.

Shea joined CFGP in August 2019 as a Data Clerk. She has been in data processing and customer service for more than twenty years. Shea is currently a student at Eastern University acquiring her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and baking, traveling, feeding the homeless which she does with her family at least once a month, and being a mom - mom to her grandchildren.

Peggy comes to CFGP after a 16 year career at the National Liberty Museum (NLM) where she held the position of Chief Development Officer. In this leadership team role, she successfully developed and secured strategic, high-impact funding partnerships with local and national supporters.
Before her time with NLM, Peggy worked as Program Director at the John Templeton Foundation for six years. Prior to this, she was an Instructor of French at the College of William and Mary.
Peggy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bucknell University and Master of Arts degree from The Pennsylvania State University. She resides in Philadelphia.


Kristine joined the CFGP team in August 2020 and is a Manager, Partner Development. As a born and raised local to Philadelphia, Kristine is an avid Philly sports fan and just recently graduated from La Salle with a Master's degree in Nonprofit Leadership. Having also attended 12 years of Catholic education, Kristine is passionate about serving the mission of the CFGP and is happy to be a part of the team.
In her free time, Kristine loves to read books and spend time outside with her Golden Retriever, Bodhi. She also just recently took up playing golf, which is way less boring than it sounds.

Kysha joined the CFGP team in June 2021 as the Senior Accountant and is very excited to be a part of the CFGP team.
Kysha has well over 10 years of nonprofit accounting experience. Prior to working at CFGP, Kysha was the accountant for The African American Museum in Philadelphia for the past 8 years, where she managed the daily accounting operations of the museum. Kysha graduated from Delaware State University with a B.S. in Accounting, she is from Philadelphia, but currently resides in Delaware County with her lovely daughter.

Rachel is one of the newer members of CFGP and is excited to use her administrative experience to support the staff in the great work they do. She received her degree in Creative Writing from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2015 and has enjoyed using her love of language in a variety of ways since then, through everything from proofreading in her professional life to writing poetry in her personal life.
She recently moved to Philadelphia and is excited to put down roots in this great city. Some of her interests include podcasts, video games, scary movies, indie music, and community gardens/organic farming. Rachel has a cat named Brunch and a dog named Lola.
