#iGiveCatholic 2020
#iGiveCatholic is nationally recognized by the Church as the official Catholic Giving Day, celebrating all aspects of our Catholic faith. The #iGiveCatholic Giving Day inspires faithful stewards to “Give Catholic” on #GivingTuesday, the global day of giving that follows Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
The mission of #iGiveCatholic is to unite Catholic communities and donors throughout the country to give back in support of the organizations that have always supported them: parishes, schools, and nonprofit ministries.
Last year, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia participated in #iGiveCatholic for the first time. #iGiveCatholic promotes a collective culture of Catholic philanthropy within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, helping to build additional annual fundraising capacity for the parishes, schools, and organizations that participate. Last year, 101 organizations were registered to participate in #iGiveCatholic and over $1.1M was raised for these ministries.
Learn MoreEmergency Relief Fund
In response to the Coronavirus Pandemic, CFGP has established the Emergency Relief Fund (ERF) to provide a quick response to the emergency needs of the community within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. This includes food pantries, vital social service ministries and organizations, and local parishes that are working to address the emergency needs of their community.
This is a difficult time for many, and we want to do our part to help those who have been impacted by COVID-19. We’ve spoken to the individuals and organizations on the front lines of this pandemic and have determined the areas in need of serious assistance. At this time, CFGP’s ERF will be raising funds specifically for Catholic Social Services (CSS) food pantries, which since the pandemic began, have experienced 100% increases in client volume.

CFGP has officially launched the Parish Support Initiative in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to help meet the needs of parishes that have been directly impacted by coronavirus. We understand that the suspension of public Masses has impacted parish communities in many ways. This initiative enables and encourages individuals to directly support their home parish, or a parish in need, during the pandemic.

Around the world, people are finding creative ways to support the people who are on the frontlines of fighting COVID-19. But a new and innovative way to participate in global solidarity was through #GivingTuesdayNow, held on May 5, 2020.
#GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving and unity established as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. Many probably recognize the name #GivingTuesday. That’s because each year, #GivingTuesday falls on the Tuesday following Black Friday and Cyber Monday. With so many immediate and critical needs facing our community due to the pandemic, a new #GivingTuesday was created as a more urgent response. Our Parish Support Initiative served as our official #GivingTuesdayNow beneficiary, and raised more than $2,000 just that day.
